Same Coral, Different Strategy – My Time With Reef Renewal
At a bottom time of 60 minutes we cleaned two trees. During this I imagined them thanking me saying “I can breathe!” and I found myself giggling a little too much about this humorous thought.
An Inky Dark Dive
We saw sleeping parrotfish that created a gel around themselves, so they could sleep, and we also saw plenty of moray eels. All of a sudden, we heard an excited squeal from our dive lead and she turned around, signaling to tell us what was happening. As she did so, the specimen of her excitement presented itself out of the darkness.

What Does It Take To Become a SCUBAnaut?
The first step of becoming a SCUBAnaut was probably the most interesting. This was the diving first aid certifications. In order to be confident in first aid skills relating to diving as well as just general first aid, I had to learn tons of new material and make sure I fully understood it.
Savannah Nauts Reach the Keys!
My trip to the Keys was amazing! Probably one of the best trips I have ever done. Being there with friends, and meeting new people made it so much more fun as well! When we got there, we unpacked our stuff and I met everyone that I was going to dive with. Everyone was super nice and welcoming, and I knew this was going to be a fun weekend.
NC Nauts Spring Break, New Partnerships, Lionfish Removal, and Coral Restoration in Aruba
Over spring break, eight SCUBAnauts partnered with six youth from Aruba’s ScubbleBubbles to collaborate on international coral restoration and lionfish removal efforts for the first time!
Nauts Earn Sea Turtle Specialty Certification
Just like divers, the turtles who need this procedure start with a lot of weight and then get less and less to only have what they need. We also got to see a bunch of four-day old turtles and learned that only one in ten thousand actually survive to reproductive age.

150 Lifetime Dives During Corona-cation
Many events have been cancelled due to corona virus, but that didn’t stop Diana from completing her 150th lifetime dive and finding things to celebrate in Jupiter, FL on our summer mission!
